My husband was able to launch his fishing boat just minutes down the road and then easily and safely dock it right at the property during our stay.Īlong with all of the fun activities, the views are amazing and the house is immaculate and very well laid out. They were never bored with the bay to swim and paddle board in and when they were wore out from that they went inside and played all of the games that were available.īillington Bay is calm and shallow enough even for younger kids and with the firm sand bottom we didn’t even mind wading out to cool off-no mud to sink in like many lakes and the water is beautifully clear. John and Mary have created an exceptional vacation spot for families to enjoy! We took our two boys (11 & 7 yrs) for the week and a family member joined us for a couple of days with her two boys (11 & 12 yrs). Overall, we did have a relaxing vacation, but I do feel the need to mention these two things in case the have an importance to others. I retreated to the house and stayed in for the rest of our last night. Another day, they were out with a younger man, I walked outside and they started barking and running toward me. The neighbor weakly started calling them back and they slowly retreated. They did not seem to notice my presence until I looked up. I was outside by the lake reading a book, looked up and the dogs were in close proximity to me. There are many reviews in the guest book about how friendly these dogs are. The other issue I had was the neighbor's dogs. There was no mention of it being mostly a grassy bottom, which it is.Ģ. I was under the impression, even after asking clarifying questions that the bottom of the lake was a sand bottom. The only downfalls, in my opinion, which may not be as important to other people:ġ. The water is very shallow and calm - very safe for kids. There are two kayaks and two paddle boards. Lots of activities for the kids - Foosball, Pool Table, Ping Pong, Corn Hole and Basketball. Owners live next door and are available for any questions. Other recreational amenities include foosball table, ping pong table, pool table, and dartboard in the garage. Two kayaks and two paddle-boards are available for use. Lakefront location is ideal for fishing, boating, swimming, and all other lake activities. House is equipped with WiFi, YouTube TV, washer & dryer, and central air. Master bedroom has a queen sized bed, and the second bedroom features a double bed and two twin beds.
